Shi Yeon is a Nine-Tailed Fox living undercover in the human world. By day, Shi Yeon is an employee at a natural history museum. By night, she's a top-ranking woman warrior in the Nine-Tailed Fox clan, charged with preserving the delicate balance between man and fox. But her world is sent spinning when an atrocious serial murder - where the victims have had their internal organs gouged out - is uncovered. Detective Min Woo believes the murders may relate to the organ trafficking trade, and goes undercover in a seedy organ smuggling ring. But Min Woo's cover is blown, and it's only through the intervention Nine-Tailed Fox warriors, Mu Young and Shi Yeon that he's able to survive! Intro:
Sometimes I pick things just because of the cover sometimes I get lucky then other times, complete shit and there are the so so (let's just call it average). So where does this lie? At different times all three. So read my full review to find out more! ;)
Story:
The story had an interesting premise and it started off great with a great production feel.
Cool fight scenes and an interesting story, what's not to like? But then... it got frustrating with the story becoming incredibly slow and repetitive. Also the quality production feel that it was heavily reduced, fight scenes felt cheaply done. Things took ages to happen even when I knew from earlier episodes, so it lost impact when stuff happened later. For parts of the story to take so long and then the story concluded in a scene less than 20 seconds...
Acting / Cast:
Great cast and I really can't fault the acting. Kim Tae Hee, don't need to say any more but even despite her I recognized many of the other cast members and are quite well known.
Music:
Simply stunning, a brilliant soundtrack which features some of the best and most memorable instrumentals that I have ever heard. The music gave this drama a great impact as it fitted in perfectly within the scenes.
Overall:
Many parts of this series was great especially the start but then it quickly grew into something average and it was a drag to get through. This drama should have been cut down to 12 episodes rather than 16, it could have fixed the pacing. Which is a shame.
I would not recommend this drama unless if your a Kim Tae Hee fan or of one the other cast members, then maybe give this a try.
